Ensuring the Study Progress of Its Staff, PPSDM MKG Conducts Monitoring and Evaluation University General

Denpasar -The Center for Human Resource Development for Meteorology, Climatology, and Geophysics (PPSDM MKG) conducts monitoring and evaluation of study progress for PPSDM MKG scholarship recipients who study at the Udayana University Postgraduate Environmental Science Doctoral Study Program (PDIL Pasca Unud), which was held Thursday, September 18, 2025. This activity took place at the Udayana University Postgraduate Building, which was attended by the Head of PPSDM MKG, Postgraduate Director, PDIL Post Unud Coordinator, Academic Advisors, and scholarship recipient students who are BMKG staff who come from various regions in Indonesia. This Monev is a follow-up to the Cooperation Agreement between the MKG Human Resources Development Center and the Udayana University Postgraduate Program, which aims to determine the progress of students' studies.




The activity began with a brief explanation of the PDIL Post Unud profile delivered by Prof. Ir. I Wayan Arthana, MS, PhD, as the corprodi. In his presentation, Prof. Arthana also said that students from BMKG are special students because they can study in the midst of their busy schedules, and most of them already hold positions in their respective regions. Furthermore, it was also conveyed that from the beginning of the semester, students have been guided directly by their respective academic advisors in dissertation study courses and other teaching lecturers by providing assignments related to the planned research topics to be taken. Meanwhile, Postgraduate Director Prof. I Nyoman Suprapta Winaya, ST, MA.Sc., Ph.D., in his remarks as well as opening the monitoring and evaluation activities, really appreciated this activity, especially since it was attended directly by the Head of the BMKG Human Resource Development Center, Mr. Adityawarman, S.Si., MM. Prof. Winaya also hopes that this collaboration will continue in the future with new student candidates from BMKG in both S3 and S2 Environmental Science.




Furthermore, the Head of PPSDM, in his direction, emphasized that students can graduate on time, and if necessary, graduate in 2.5 years. Mr. Adit added that his party also hopes for support from Udayana University, especially PDIL Pasca Unud, so that the targets imposed on students can be achieved, especially for promoter and co-promoter lecturers who will be disturbed a lot of time by students. He also revealed that later so that one of the co-promoters from BMKG, who had met the requirements in accordance with the academic guidebook of Udayana University, could be accommodated. On this meeting, student academic supervisors were also present, including Prof. Dr. Ir. Ida Ayu Astarini, MSc, PhD; Prof. Dr. Ir. I Wayan Nuarsa, MSi; and Prof. Dr. Ir. IGB Sila Dharma, MT, PhD, who were also given the opportunity to convey the progress of the studies of their students, most of whom mentioned that students were already in the process of drafting their research proposals (DK).
